Sweet, Sweet William

Hello

Thanks for popping in.

We're very excited that the sweet william is flowering!  Woohoo!  The seeds were planted in Spring 2020 so it's  been a long, tense wait, even longer than waiting for a baby to be born! Ha!  Of course it was a bit of a mistake to get something that would take so long in the first place but now they are in full swing, they really are rather gorgeous.  Just as well as there are lots of them.

Our potted roses are blooming well, red ones yet to come.

Antirrhinums, flowering for a second year from seeds, are colourful too.

Cosmos, seeds from this year, are gathering pace. Their wispy foliage so delicate.

The box of wilderness is full of allsorts, new this week calendula and nigella.

  1. Looking good out there. You will continue to have antirhinums every year once they get going. Love the sweet William, I’ve never tried to grow them. B x

  2. Lots of my favourites there. I love sweet William but you do have to be patient with biennials when they're first sown, they should reseed themselves now with any luck.

  3. Your garden must look colourful. Sweet Williams are lovely because of the different shades of pink. Your roses are beautiful too.

    1. It's great to see them out and colourful although the poor things are under a deluge today, fingers crossed they spring back again. 😊
