Chocolates in Antwerp

Thanks for calling in.

Even when Easter isn't on the horizon, the Belgian chocolate shops are a feast for the eyes.

You might even be able to buy chocolate hands which are based on the legend of the giant and the hero who saved the town of Antwerp by cutting off his hand and throwing it in the river which gave the town its name - hand werpen/hand thrower!

If chocolate is not your thing, how about a giant biscuit animal!

Easter, though, gives added chocolate pleasure.

This shop had its chocolatier on display with new concoctions being rustled up.  Mmmm the perfume . . .

How about a hot chocolate with a freshly baked brownie!

So much to choose from.

  1. Oh my gosh, those chocolate goodies look amazing!

    1. Don't they look fantastic but which one do you choose? One of each ha ha!!

  2. Hey Karen trust me to turn up just as you are handing the chocolates around! And you couldn't have been in a better place than Belgium in the lead up to Easter! We struggle to find good chocolates here in Thailand!
    Happy Easter
