Southsea Rose Garden Revisited

Hello

Thanks for popping in.

We visited the Rose Garden near Southsea beach a couple of years ago, in August.  What would it be like in June?

Just gorgeous, of course!  It's great to know that the flowers will be around for another 3 months at least.

I could really do with a drone to fly over the garden, you just can't get it in a photograph.

Here's a few poppies from the Rock Garden to finish off with.

I'm linking this post with Riitta's Floral Bliss blog.

Many thanks Riitta.

  1. I true image of Britain at its best. Very few roses over here. Much too hot. The few I’ve seen look very shrivelled. B x

    1. Aren't they gorgeous and they last longer than peonies, another of my favourites. Glad you're having a wonderful time. x

  2. Looks absolutely fantastic! The pergola structure for climbing roses makes the place so chic - or adds anyway one great feature. Enjoy this Midsummer week!

    1. Thanks Riitta, the photos don't do it justice really as the roses seem to blend in with the beds unlike when you're actually there.

    1. The rose in the first shot looked like it had been dipped in paint! There were a wonderful selection there. 😊

  4. It's good to see so many roses growing in one place. Those multi-coloured roses are so pretty.
