Finish for the Weekend 4

Hello

Thanks for calling in.

I've been determined to finish off my blanket this week as I'm sure you would be really fed up reading that I've finished another square every week for umpteen weeks!  This Finish for the Weekend really works. Thanks Jill.  Have a look at the link up over at Emerald Cottage.

Having joined the 70 squares together and sewn in all those ends, the next job was the border - nine rows of single crochet which has given a nice solid edge.

Ta dah!

It's always great to finish a project.  Links to the pattern can be found in my first Finish for the Weekend post.

Now that I've given away three blankets to a local care home, this one will be staying at home.

Have a great weekend.

Cheerio

  6. Fabulous. Such a zingy pop of colour. I like the simple border, I think a blanket needs to be edged to finish it off but this doesn't take anything away from the amazing pattern.

    1. I rather like the border too. I did one row and then turned to do the next and so on, to stop it curling over.

  8. I was just wondering how on earth I could have missed this post when I have been looking forward to it so much! Then I saw the date and realised that it was the day after Tom Kitten was born, so that's why. I am losing track of time and the days are blurring into each other. So well done, I think this blanket is absolutely gorgeous and definitely needs to stay with you. As I often say to children - Top Banana. x

    1. Thanks Mrs T, it looks ok, doesn't it. I'm not surprised you are losing track of time but you have an excellent reason. I do hope everyone is doing well, you must be bursting with pride. x
