Finish for the Weekend

Hello

Thanks for popping in.

Jill at Emerald Cottage has invited those of us with unfinished wips (work in progress) to join her on her blog for Finish for the Weekend.  There's an official link-up here and here's what I've been up to lately with a few balls of wool.

Yes, you've guessed it, it's another blanket, why are they so addictive!  I was inspired by a blog called Luciasfigtree.  Lucia is making one blanket a month and they are all fantastic.  Here's the one I'm aiming for, I thought it looked a bit different to the others I've made.  Rather than make it using two strands of Stylecraft Special DK, I'm only using one and a smaller crochet hook.

I thought I'd make 70 squares in all.  There are only the 10 squares above in the pattern and there will be more of some than others.

So far I've made 43.  Fantastic, I'm over half way!

I started off making one of each type, apart from the ones with lime in as I had forgotten to order it!  Anyway, I've got some now and am making small batches of the same square at a time as this seems to get them done quickly.

All being well with the link-up,  I'll show you how far I've got next Friday.

Thanks Jill.
Thanks Lucia.

I could never make a blanket in a month!

Have a good weekend.

    1. Good luck with that, I do like cross stitches too but I find my eyes aren't so good these days. It's great to have a project on the go.

  4. Lucia's blog is very interesting especially the blanket which is inspired by art and paintings she's seen and liked. It's good to see your squares and I like your choice of colours.

    1. Thanks. They are Lucia's colours, I'm not so good at choosing which go well together but matching something you like is a really good idea.

    1. Thanks, putting it all together is the bit I like. The colours seem to change depending on which ones are next to them.
