Thanks for calling in.
Next stop is Pemberton, inland, surrounded by forest and lakes. We're staying in the Karri Valley Resort on Lake Beedelup. Arriving in the twilight, a field of 50 or 60 kangaroos, enjoying a bit of a snack and relax, greets us. Another tick on the list!
Poor old camera didn't do too well with a load of skippy kangaroos in the dark.
We're staying here for a couple of nights
The path round the lake
The walk-through tree
You need two photos at least per tree as they are so tall.
A wobbly bridge over the Beedelup Falls
Another beautiful walk round the Big Brook Dam
Heading through the Warren National Park to one of the 3 famous climbing trees - Dave Evans Bicentennial Tree (75 m), Diamond Tree (51 m) and the Gloucester Tree (61 m)
This is the top of the Bicentennial tree. There are a few platforms up the tree, but to get there you have to climb on the metal pegs that stick out of the tree! Goodness, where's Health and Safety when you need them!
We're off to Augusta next.
See you soon.
