Friday Five

Hello

Thanks for popping in.

Can you believe it's Friday already!

Here are five things from my week.

1.  A bargain from the charity shop, this little teapot-cum-cup is just the ticket for my licorice tea.  I'd offer you a biscuit but they are made of plastic!

2.  Delicious treats from young Mr CK, chocolate raspberries, my favourites, and two loose leaf teas - Peppermint Infusion and Mr CK's favourite Bombay Chai from The East India Company.

3.  My hyacinth is opening up and what a gorgeous colour!  Just behind it is another one peeking out, they are going to look fabulous together.  Sadly I can't smell the scent at the moment as I've gone down with a nasty cold.

4.  My Stylecraft Batik wool has arrived, ready for me to make another blanket during the cold Winter days.

5.  A glorious sunset plus a new setting found on my camera which makes it look more like a fire in the distance!

As a postscript to my recent book post, I have now finished The Sealwoman's Gift by Sally Magnusson and thoroughly enjoyed it.  It raises some interesting questions on separation and was based on a true recollection although it was embellished for the sake of the story.

Have a great weekend.

  2. What a wonderful array of colour in the yarn, looking forward to seeing your progress. A lovely gift of tea, I am not very adventurous I generally stick to Breakfast tea. A beautiful sunset, I have still to work out some of the settings on my camera. Have a lovely weekend.

    1. Have a great weekend, I'm sure you'll be up to something exciting! I never used to drink tea until last year when I discovered all these different types which don't need milk as it seems that the milk was the reason I wasn't too keen on tea.

  5. What a wonderful Friday Five. I've got one of those little teapot/cup sets, they're so handy if you're just making tea for one. Eleanor got a box of chocolates for Christmas and gave me all the chocolate raspberries out of it, how can anyone not like chocolate raspberries? I love hyacinths but haven't bought any yet this year, I must remedy that. What a wonderful yarn parcel. Blankets are great to make during the winter months as they keep you warm whilst you work on them. A beautiful sunset. Hope you're feeling better soon.

  6. Chocolate raspberries are such a good combination, maybe Eleanor's taste buds will come round one day but meanwhile, you're the lucky one! I'm feeling much better now, thank you. 😊
