Five on Friday - Blogging

Hello and welcome to the blog.

Amy at Love Made My Home has kindly organised another Five on Friday link-up, do click on the link to see all the other posts.

My five this week relate to blogging as today, two years ago, I dipped my toe into Blogland and have been so glad I did ever since.

Connecting

As well as a means of keeping in touch with distant family and friends, it has been a joy to receive messages of such a kind and encouraging nature from other bloggers.  There really is a network of supportive people out there always ready with a quip or a suggestion, a sympathetic ear or a recommendation. Thank you, I really do appreciate it.

Learning

I have learnt so much from and been inspired by the variety of blogs available.  There are so many crochet, knitting and sewing ideas at the touch of a button, there are such talented designers and craftspeople ready to help and show you the way. There are book suggestions, places to visit, recipes to try, all available in your own home, on a train or by the sea.

Exploring

Finding things of interest for my own blog, I have set out with my camera looking at the world more closely, through the eyes of other people from other countries as well, enjoying my surroundings, no longer in a rush somewhere but happy to see and appreciate.

Remembering

It's very useful to have a place to jot down those things that have been particularly interesting before they get forgotten. Looking back over the last two years, I've visited so many beautiful places and with the blog's help I'll remember the differences between all the cathedrals, which National Trust property it was that had the bear hut and where you can get the best cheese scones.

Sharing

I've been up to London this week with the blog in mind. This is part of Somerset House from the back. I'll be sharing a few other places worth a visit soon.

Have a great weekend.
