Five on Friday - Flowers

Hello

Thanks for calling in, always wonderful to see you.  We're all set for another Five on Friday thanks to the link set up by Amy at Love Made My Home.

Despite the weather losing its freezing edge, it's still a little grey and overcast so this week I've tracked down some pretty flowers to give us all a boost of colour. The bulbs are shooting up almost ready to put on a good show.

This gorgeous pansy was in a trough on the bridge over the River Wey in Farnham

Such a sunny smiley face

Finally, here's a mosaic of life in the garden, we haven't really looked at it for ages as there's been nothing very exciting to show you.

Wishing you all a very pleasant week and sending my thanks for all your thoughtful messages which always make me smile.

  1. A lovely cheery post. Thank you. I'm loving the crocus at the moment, especially in the full sun when they open right up. Have a good weekend. B x

    1. It's a bit of a treat when the crocuses open up in the sun, we haven't had too much of that yet though. x

  2. I love pansies and snowdrops, they remind me of my grandmother's garden when I was a small child so I will be trying to grow them myself now

  4. Your mosaic of colourful flowers is uplifting. I always think that primulas in particular are worth growing. We leave them in the ground, they get a few nibbles from little beasties, but they soon perk up and produce bright flowers to cheer us especially at this time of the year. Have a good weekend!

    1. They are great at this time of year with their bright colours. I like the native primroses too especially round the hedgerows.

  7. It's lovely to see so many flowers putting on a display at this time of year, just what we need to lift the spirits after the long winter months.

  8. Your flowers certainly cheered me up! Although it hasn't been too bad weather-wise this week today is dark and stormy (sounds like the beginning of a bad story). Once the storm passes it will be a lot colder. People were wearing shorts (not that warm) last weekend - this weekend snow flurries. That's Michigan for you!

    Happy Five on Friday!

    1. I was glad to see you've found an apartment and that your things are on the way, you'll be able to soon get settled in. I'm not sure I'd like hot all the time, I'm more suited to cool plus lots of scarves. Thanks for calling in, always great to see you. x
