Marylebone Village

Hello

Thanks for popping in.

Coming from Regents Park in search of Daunts Books in Thayer Street, you land in Marylebone Village, the area around Marylebone High Street.  There's a lovely feel to the road, lots of small independent shops, specialist food and drink retailers as well as a Waitrose.  There are lots of cafes and restaurants, some Michelin-starred.

Emma Bridgewater has a colourful shop full of pottery to tempt you.

Fischer's Viennese Cafe looked interesting from the outside

Daunt Books specialises in travel books
It's a beautiful galleried building with a skylight that floods the place with light.  It was originally built in 1910 for antiquarian booksellers Francis Edwards.

I'm going to have a look at the books for a while, why don't you join me.

Cheerio

    1. The street had a different feel to it not like the Oxford Street type of experience, much more cosy. πŸ™‚
