The Savill Garden in Summer

Hello and welcome!

There are so many wonderful things to see at this time of the year, everything is bursting with exciting showiness! A surprise visit to The Savill Garden, part of Windsor Great Park, with a friend really highlighted how lucky we are to witness all these goings on.

From grasses . . . .

to leaves . . .

Flowers . . .

and trees,  the shapes and patterns are just amazing.

The Savill Garden's borders are full of hot colours at the moment.

Come through the garden gate and have a look.

Clusters of canas, dahlias and border favourites grouped together within a stunning, fiery colour palette, fill the enormous garden space.

Inside the greenhouse, large geraniums climb six feet or more up the side of the wall as hanging baskets cascade above us. The whirlpool water feature reflects the colours around.

Even on the way back to the car, banks of wildflowers, reminiscent of the London 2012 Olympic Park, tempt us to return again to enjoy another trip.

We will indeed be returning to see the roses tomorrow.
