Chilli Nuts

Hello

How was your weekend?

Mr CK and I are partial to Lidls chilli nuts - peanuts covered in chilliness, not a crispy coating but just a chilli flavouring.  I know, it's probably not good for us, but there you are.

Somehow our local Lidls has stopped selling them. Annoying! They've got allsorts of other nuts, just not the ones we like. Typical!

Having been to Hastings recently, one of our trips was to Lidls to check their nut stocks and whooppee, they had some but how many packets can you buy without looking peculiar?

Back home the nut shortage continues. Drastic action was needed. Hence my beautiful walk along the river to a different shop.

Success! Loaded with snacks, I headed back. If only you could have heard the birds tweeting along the way. I still didn't see a kingfisher . . . maybe they were put off by all the rustling in my bag.

Cheerio

  1. we love those too, you can make your own if you put some regular nuts into a container, throw in a spoonful of chilli powder and shake. that way you can make them as hot or mild as you like :)
