Sonning

Hello

Thanks for calling in. If you popped round earlier, I was out. Sorry about that. I've been to Sonning on Thames for coffee, you know, where George Clooney lives.

Not with George Clooney I hasten to say.

You are totally spoilt for choice when it comes to restaurants in the village, there's even The Mill which offers a dining experience combined with a theatre show. Our coffee at the Coppa Club in the Great House hotel together with a flaky pain au chocolat and crisp linen napkins was delicious.

What a charming spot.

At the end of May Sonning Festival will be in full swing - there will be a Regatta, scarecrow trail, live band, and car display followed by an elegant picnic in July.

Let's hope the weather will be as glorious as today.

Bye for now.

  5. You and George hey what a shame he missed you, I hear he make a lovely coffee too, at least that's what the Nespresso adverts here say! Next time.... What a gorgeous place Sonning is, I can see why it would be a lovely place to reside!
