West Green Gardens

Hello

Oh it's great to be able to visit gardens now that they are open again following the Winter closure. West Green Gardens is a favourite of ours, you'll find some more posts from last year on the blog here and here.  Although affiliated to the National Trust, it is a private garden that combines opera and literary events with a beautiful garden. I see that Alan Titchmarsh is involved in something this year, don't think he's singing though.

We usually pop into the café for a cake but decided to have a lunch yesterday, well when you're told the Chef from the Orient Express is in the kitchen, you have to give it a go. I did enjoy it. Yum!

The gardens are always neat and well maintained, even having a stripy lawn at this time of the year.  The flower beds have all been prepared ready for the exciting months ahead but it's the bulbs that are the stars at the moment.

How beautiful is that!

I'll show you a few more snaps tomorrow. Have a great day.

Bye for now.

  5. Your lunch looks delicious, and those daffodils under the trees are beautiful, especially in mixed shades of yellow.
