December Garden

Hello

It's been a warm and sunny day today. Glorious. We have been lucky not to have been affected by the floods and winds of Storm Desmond that have been battering Cumbria and the North over the last week. I have read that nearly either 14/13/16 inches of rain fell in 24 hours. I do hope you are managing. The Red Cross and their volunteers have set up rest centres to help those in need, they have a lot of experience to offer, here's their website.

In our garden not much is happening at the moment, but it's been lovely to have all the doors and windows open and a bright outlook for a change.

Take care.

  1. Nice to see some colourful pics. We're in the South so free of flooding, although we had it badly two winters back. Poor Cumbria.

    1. Yes, it looks awful and the problems last a long time. You'd probably never feel quite safe again. x

  5. We were in Carlisle a couple of years ago and stayed at a hotel at the top of Warwick road and walked down it to the centre a couple of times. It was so sad to see it and all those lovely houses under water:)
