Mosaic Sky Monday

Hello

It's Mosaic Monday

What have the skies been like where you are?  We've been having some spectacular ones here.

As well as the bright blue variety and the completely cloudy ones, there have been all sorts of interesting skies in between. The speckly type are known as mackerel skies as they resemble the scales on a mackerel. Apparently there is a well known rhyme (which I had never heard of!) - mackerel skies, mackerel skies, never long wet and never long dry!  Here's a bit more weather info.

It's always doing something up there isn't it!

Many thanks to Judith of Lavender Cottage for her Mosaic Monday fun.

Have a good week.

Cheerio for now!

  4. I love your beautiful collection of sky views. If you don't mind me asking, what photo editing system do you use for mosaics? I'm new blogging, as you might have noticed when you visited me and "Thank you" for your kind comments re strawberries and Alchemilla on my blog. Have a great week. Barbara xx

    1. I just use the collage option within the Photos linked to Google +, although it tends to do its own thing and place the photos in its own order. :-)

  6. Interesting ditty about the mackerel skies and your photos are wonderful. I still look up when there are fluffy clouds to see if I can see any shapes.
Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday.

  7. It's all too easy to go about our everyday lives without noticing the sky above us. Sometimes it's quite spectacular, and your photos capture its ever-changing nature :)

  8. Your photos are lovely. We've had spectacular skies in Shropshire, too, and I have got into the habit of popping outside every evening to look. x
