Right, we've sped along the line and have arrived at the Guildhall, which holds a bit of a sneaky surprise or two.

It reminded me of Brussels for some reason, glorious in the sunshine. People sitting outside enjoying their sandwiches. They should have a cafe! What they do have is a free Art Gallery over to the right of the main building, it's all modern and spacious.

Lord Leighton

There is some modern stained glass by Stella Timmins for various Guilds. Lovely colours. Here are a couple of details.

The Gallery is spread over several floors making good use of the interesting space.

Down another flight of steps is the Roman Amphitheatre - well the remains plus an interesting display.

Have a look at the website for more information.

What's old Shaun doing outside?

There's also the church of St Lawrence Jewry close by.

There's still time for another visit so stand by for the next episode!

Bye for now
